Public Transport

Due to Somerset County Council spending cuts,  bus services through Curry Rivel were reduced from April 2011.  There is now no bus service to or from the village after 7 p.m. on weekdays, and no service at all on Sundays and Bank Holidays.  If you are travelling by Public Transport please make sure that these changes won't affect your travel plans.

Directions....

1. Curry Rivel lies on the A378, about 9 miles (14 Km) north-east of Taunton, and about 2 miles (3Km) south-west of Langport.  For Sat Nav users our post code is TA10 0HT

2. Cherry Orchard Cottage is on the main A378 road which runs through the village, about 200 yards (180 metres) from the edge of the village when coming from the Taunton direction.  We are on the left, just beyond the left turn into Heale Lane, but before the bus shelter.

3. If approaching from the Langport direction, drive through the village, past the shops, and look out for the King William IV pub on the left.  We are about 200 yards (180 metres) beyond the pub, on the right. We're a short distance beyond the right hand turning into Chatham Place, just past the bus shelter.

4. Please drive straight in through the green farm gate onto our property, and park on the drive.

Access
We endeavour to provide access and excellence to all our guests, at all times, whatever their needs. Should there be anything you feel we should be made aware of in order to ensure your comfort and safety, please do not hesitate to inform us.

On Arrival
Turn off the A378 and pass through the green farm gate on to our property.  Temporarily park by garage, and ring the doorbell on brown door for attention. There are steps down and back up to the garden entrance door, and some surfaces may be slippery when wet.

Some assistance with luggage may be available.

After arrival, the car driver should drive past the garage, and turn round in the turning area beyond the garage. The park the car (facing the gate) as close to the tall hedge as possible, to allow other vehicles to pass.

The garden and drive are illuminated at night by sensor controlled floodlights.
